McCULLOCH KITS

McCulloch Hid Conversion kits come in two versions the single beam version or the Bi-Xenon. The Bi-Xenon is the option that gives you Hi and Lo beams so make sure you buy the correct one. These systems are designed to give the correct beam pattern to give the driver the best visibility while avoiding blinding other road users. A wiring harness is provided to ensure that the system operates smoothly as when switching on a Hid light a lot off power is used by the ballasts to start the bulbs. By using this supplied harness you will protect your cars electrical system and allow the lights to work at peak performance.

6000k
This Conversion Kit has a lower luminosity output than the 5000k at 2800. This gives a Blue/White light which is still very good for driving just slightly less visibility than the 5000k but also gives that bit more style to the appearance. Expect a bulb life off over 2500hours and 4 years for the ballasts.

PHILIPS KITS

TYPES
These Philips Light Bulbs come in two versions the first version is generally called the Plug and Play Kit in which the HID ballast plugs into the bulb socket off the light you are replacing. You then simply plug in the new  bulb and the installation is complete in less than 5 minutes. This type is inferior to the next as it uses the cars existing wiring which can in some cases be damaged by the extra power that the the HID bulb requires from the ballast as it is switched on. The second version comes with a wiring harness that allows you to take power direct from the battery and avoid having to touch the existing wiring altogether.

These Kits come complete and also have two different options for mounting the ballast. This can be done by using a mounting plate which can be bolted onto a suitable location or a strong velcro mounting which is easy to remove and install. Both off these options are included in all kits along with two bulbs, ballasts, instructions and wiring harness.

6000K has a shorter beam length than the 4300k version although it’s output is still approximately 3 times more than the equivilant halogen lamp with halogen illuminating up to 1000 metres and this HID up to 2800 metres. Although it has a bit less light output, it emits a purer white with no yellow reflectionand with a slight and barely noticeable tint of blue.

These hid conversion kits are plug and play one connector from the ballast to your factory connector and a pair of Neg(-) and Pos(+) AMP connectors to the bulbs and extra long harness gives you more flexibility when mounting your ballast.
